Madrid/Helsinki, 22.10.2020, Explorer and Claned have joined forces to boost entrepreneurship education as the future success stories will stem from diverse teams, purpose-driven change, and revolutionary innovation. New entrepreneurs and entrepreneurially minded talents need education to reach their full potential. Digital learning makes entrepreneurial education available for everyone globally.

Explorer, the university entrepreneurship program promoted by Banco Santander through Santander Universities is an international entrepreneurship program reaching up to 2,000 entrepreneurs in 2020-2021 around the world. The program was started in 2009, and over 8,000 young adults have participated in it with more than 5,700 projects.

The call to participate in Explorer ‘Jóvenes con Soluciones’ will be open for applications on Santander X until December 11.

The idea of infusing entrepreneurship into education is spurring a lot of enthusiasm currently. This has been primarily viewed as starting a new business and focus has traditionally been on economic impact only. Explorer and Claned see that entrepreneurial education is also about making students more creative, opportunity oriented, proactive and innovative, adhering to a wide definition of entrepreneurship relevant to all walks in life.

Vesa Perälä, Founder & CEO of Claned Group is extremely pleased to work with Explorer to promote entrepreneurship education: “I’ve been a serial entrepreneur since 2007 and love mentoring young talents and potential future entrepreneurs. Explorer and CISE have already built an excellent framework for the training and I’m convinced we will create together a remarkable and rewarding entrepreneurial journey for the next batch of Explorers”, he says.

“We liked Claned’s complete approach to digital learning. They highlight the importance of pedagogy in digital learning and their learning design program helped us to create engaging and effective online learning experiences for our Explorers. The Claned platform is very social media like and the learning data the platform produces helps us to continuously improve our program” concludes Patricia Araque, Executive Director of Explorer program. “Explorer is a mix of online training and community, both things are key to help students achieve their goals. Claned boosts the kind of social learning we need to promote peer to peer learning and, at the same time, helps us leverage the blended learning experience we deploy in partnership with the universities taking part in the program”, she continues.

The application period for the Explorer powered by Santander X Program is open for young talents from September 28 to December 11, 2020.
