How Solita to Semi-Automate Complex Customer Training and New Employee Onboarding

The Challenges

In this project, Solita had to find a more efficient way to train their customers to use a software product in their own portfolio. If they can’t effectively teach their customers to use their product, they are less likely to sell it to them.

The second part of the project was to create a scalable onboarding process for new employees. The old onboarding wasn’t fit to fully support the fast-growing company’s needs.

In this project, Solita had two goals:
1. To more efficiently train their customers to use Agile Data Engine, a software product in their portfolio
2.To create a unified and scalable onboarding process for new employees

The Process With Claned

In this project, Solita had to find a more efficient way to train their customers to use a software product in their own portfolio. If they can’t effectively teach their customers to use their product, they are less likely to sell it to them.

The second part of the project was to create a scalable onboarding process for new employees. The old onboarding wasn’t fit to fully support the fast-growing company’s needs.

The solution included Claned’s “Learning Design” workshops, where we together designed the pedagogical structure for the course and the proper learning solution.

We designed and set up an online learning environment that allows customers to complete courses anytime and anywhere.

This way scheduling wouldn’t be a problem. It also frees up the course facilitators’ time. They can still easily guide learners, but they don’t have to be constantly “present in a classroom”.

All course materials were made easily accessible on the Claned online learning platform.

Solita’s HR team were looking for a corporate LMS (learning management system) to improve their new employee onboarding process. They decided to use the Claned online learning platform.

Together, we created another online learning environment. The HR team moved all their onboarding materials from their intranet to our platform. This allowed them to share materials and start introducing workers to the organization weeks in advance of their first official workday.

The Outcome

After the project, Solita was interested in seeing how well the transition had worked. To do this, Claned used its state-of-the-art data collection methods and analysis to measure the impact of online education and to demonstrate how well it works.

The phenomenal results show that:
Claned has made scheduling training easier. The customers have liked that they don’t have to complete the training at a specific time, but instead they can choose their own hours.
Customers and employees like how easy the platform is to use as a corporate training LMS.
Solita has saved a huge amount of time: setting up a training session has gone down from 1 full day to just 1 hour.
The onboarding process can now be started much earlier, two weeks before a new employee’s first day. Content is easy to keep up to date, even with ongoing courses.
It’s easy to track performance, which the HR team previously couldn’t do without a proper corporate training LMS. It helps identify what content is popular and what isn’t working that well.
We designed and set up an online learning environment that allows customers to complete courses anytime and anywhere.
All in all, the onboarding process is now much more scalable and structured. It fits the needs of a rapidly growing and internationalizing company.
